Using Battery or Solar Powered Energizers
NOTE:
Mains Power is strongly recommended because it is much more reliable,
much less expensive and much less trouble than solar/battery power.
CAUTION:
To avoid an accidental shock, connecting electrical power from the
source should be the last step; after all other devices have been
connected.
1.
Connect the Fence Minder to the energizer as illustrated

Battery
Power:
1.
Connect the red wire from the "Battery positive (+)" terminal of
the Fence Minder™ to the positive (+) terminal on the battery.
2.
Connect the black wire from the "Battery negative (-)" terminal
of the Fence Minder™ to the negative (-) terminal on the battery.
NOTE:
You will need a Deep Cycle Marine or RV battery rated at 85 amp
hours or more. This battery will require periodic maintenance and
charging AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. Alternatively, a battery trickle
charger may be attached (follow the manufacturer's instructions).
Even so, an equalization charge should be applied by your local
automotive repair shop, approximately every 12 months.
